高整合度CMOS功率放大器線性化架構分析與設計

A Fully-Integrated Linearization Architecture Analysis and Design on CMOS Power Amplifier

摘要


新世代的無線通訊電路設計中,矽製程已被廣泛運用,除了成本與尺寸的考量外,其最主要的優勢在於同一製程同時整合數位與類比電路的能力進一步實現單晶片系統的目標,然而,為了符合系統規範,在射頻電路前端的關鍵元件如功率放大器與收發切換器等仍使用成本較高但特性為佳的砷化鎵製程來設計,隨著CMOS的製程進步,與改善放大器特性的輔助電路如預失真電路,數位校正等,以CMOS製程實現功率放大器已漸漸受到重視,在本文中將針對現有線性功率放大器的概念與技術進行分析並討論其未來進一步發展的可行性與研究方向。

As the wireless devices such as cell phones and laptops are being used popularly, the linearity of RF power amplifier becomes a very crucial issue. This paper presents comprehensive analyses of conventional techniques such as pre-distortion, feed-forward, feedback, and the inside scoop of the view of analog architecture, and provide potential for linearization by combining with auxiliary amplifiers whose gate voltages are well designed.
