摘要

白話字（又稱為教會羅馬字）是台語文最具傳統且寫成文章數量最多的一種書寫系統，同時其本身也是標音系統之一。本論文除了介紹白話字的基本特性與書寫格式之外，針對其在文字轉語音系統中的主要文字分析處理流程也做了討論。其中包含數字調號的轉換、聲母／韻母的切割以及變調問題的處理等。此外，本論文也針對過去台語文字轉語音系統的發展作了一個簡單的回顧。

POJ (Pe'h-oē-jī), which is also called as Church Romanization, is the most traditional Taiwanese writing system that produces most articles. It is also one of the phonetic alphabet. In addition to the basic properties and written formats of the POJ, this paper also discussed the main POJ text processing procedure for Text-to-Speech, including POJ to numbered POJ conversion, Initial/Final segmentation, and tone sandhi processing. Moreover, we also provide a simple review on the previous development of Taiwanese Text-to-Speech systems.
