跨個人區域網路之ZigBee感測器連結機制

An Inter-PAN Binding Mechanism for ZigBee Sensors

摘要


連結(binding)為感測網路中感測器與致動器之間的聯繫關係。目前ZigBee規格所定義的連結機制侷限於單一個人區域網路(PAN)的範圍,然而大規模的感測網路應用將需要不同PAN之感測器與致動器的協同運作。本文提出一個以ZigBee閘道器為基礎的inter-PAN連結機制,該機制可達到多個PAN的事件偵測與動作喚起。本機制定義了inter-PAN閘道器與intra-PAN閘道器兩種主要元件,inter-PAN閘道器負責收集來自各個intra-PAN閘道器的裝置能力資訊,並且提供操作介面讓使用者指定欲偵測的事件與欲執行的動作;一旦收到intra-PAN閘道器送來的連結規格所定義的各個事件,inter-PAN閘道器將會令相關的intra-PAN閘道器作出對應的動作。本文介紹如何以inter-PAN閘道器與intra-PAN閘道器之合作來完成跨區域連結,並結合UPnP、REST網際服務以及Ajax技術來完成系統實作。

In sensor networks, a binding is an association between a sensor and an actuator. The binding mechanism defined in the ZigBee specification is restricted within a PAN. For a complex WSN application, it is desired to have an inter-PAN binding mechanism to combine sensors and actuators belonging to different PANs, respectively. In this paper, we propose a gateway-based inter-PAN binding mechanism for global event detection and action invocation. It consists of two major components, inter-PAN gateway and intra-PAN gateway. The inter-PAN gateway is used to collect device capabilities from each intra-PAN gateway, a user interface is provided and let user specify the event to be triggered and the action to be invoked. Once all events defined in the binding specification are received from related intra-PAN gateways, the inter-PAN gateway will invoke corresponding actions at associated intra-PAN gateways. This paper also introduces how to realize an inter-PAN binding system by using inter-PAN gateway and intra-PAN gateway based on UPnP, REST web services, and Ajax techniques.
