Green electronics has become an important issue of the emerging automotive control electronics industry. Electric vehicle is a typical application of both industries. Electric vehicle requires energy-saving technologies and reliability design in its core. Based on that issue, this work will present our SoC MCU research in dealing with energy-saving and functional safety design. In energy-saving field, we focus on high performance MCU-based platform and motor control system. In reliability filed, we focus on non-volatile memory testing. With the proposed methods; our electric motor control FOC algorithm can improve performance and reduce cost of memory testing.
