分散式SON的小型基地台群組化管理機制

Small Cell Grouping Management Mechanism of Distributed SON

摘要


隨著行動通訊網路的演進,建置小型基地台以解決日益龐大的頻寬需求為未來的趨勢。因此要如何管理大量的小型基地台是一個十分重要的議題。3GPP制定了自我管理網路(Self-Organizing Network; SON)機制來減少基地台的建置成本,現有的自我管理網路(SON)可以分成三種架構:集中式、分散式和混合式。本篇論文針對建置成本較低分散式架構,提出群組化機制,把這些分散式的基地台分成不同群組,並找出群組領導者,由領導者去協調每一台基地台設定,以改善原本分散式自我管理網路架構的效能。

With the evolution of the mobile communication networks, the deployment of small cell base stations is the trend to solve the large bandwidth demand in the future. 3GPP develops the self -organizing network (SON) to reduce the cost in deploying a large number of small cells. There are three different architectures in self-organizing network; centralized SON architecture, hybrid SON architecture, and distributed SON architecture. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to improve the distributed SON architecture performance. The mechanism includes clustering the distributed small cells and electing a group leader automatically. The group leader can leverage the knowledge of all group members and manage the resources of the small cells within the group more efficiently.
