一種構建穩健公共安全與災難救援系統之近接訊息中繼技術

A Proximity-based Message-relaying Techniques for Robust Public Protection and Disaster Relief System

摘要


為解決由於災難發生造成基礎建設破壞的孤立情況,我們提出“近接訊息中繼技術”,以促進公共安全系統的穩健性。為了證明原始想法的可行性,我們基於Android架構下的Wi-Fi Direct APIs開發一個公共安全應用程式,並且定義了受難者、救難人員、幫手和D2D中繼球裝置等三個角色和一個裝置布建於展示環境中。在展示中不只受難者可發送求救訊息給救難人員,救難人員也會發送確認訊息給發送求救訊息的受難者。而連線的故障失敗處理問題也會在展示中提出,另外中繼裝置與近接中介軟體的發展及智慧路由演算法的設計也是進一步增進的功能。雙向通訊特性與鏈路故障恢復能力對受難者而言是必須的,也使我們的系統是獨一無二的,在硬體規格與機械電源的設計上更需要調整以適應嚴苛的環境,連線故障失敗問題也需要很小心的處理。

To resolve the isolated situation in infrastructure -less area due to disasters, we propose to use proximity-based message-relaying techniques to facilitate the robustness in public safety systems. To prove the feasibility of the primal idea, we develop a public safety application based on Android framework and its Wi-Fi Direct APIs. Three roles and one equipment, namely Victim, Rescuer, Helper and D2D relay ball, are defined in our application and deployed in the demonstration. In the demonstration, not only Victim user can send mayday message to Rescuer user, Rescuer user can also send acknowledgement message to the same Victim user. Link failure issue is also addressed in t he demonstration. The demonstration not only proves the feasibility of our idea, but also paves the way for further enhancements such as relaying device design, proximity-based middleware development, and smart routing algorithms. The two-way characteristic and link failure recovery ability are imperative and make our system unique. The hardware specification, mechanical design and power system will be tailored to meet requirements of extreme environment, link failure recovery issue needs to be carefully addressed.
