Nasolabial Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma in a Child-Case Report

摘要

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a cancer deriving from skeletal muscles and is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in children. We described a case of an 8-year-old girl with a progressively swelling, non-tender mass over left nasolabial region. The diagnosis of spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma was reached after tumor excision and microscopic histopathological examination. Spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare variant of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma and is most often encountered in the paratesticular tissue. In this case, spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma diagnosed over a rare site, the nasolabial region, was reported. The differential diagnosis of a nasolabial mass and treatment of the head and neck rhabdomyosarcoma were discussed.

橫紋肌肉瘤是源自於胚胎間葉組織的惡性腫瘤，為一種發生率不到十萬分之一的罕見疾病，然而卻是兒童最常見的惡性軟組織腫瘤。本病例呈現1名8歲女童，在左側鼻唇區發現一無痛性、逐漸變大的腫瘤，在經手術切除及化學免疫染色病理化驗後，確診為梭狀細胞橫紋肌肉瘤。梭狀細胞橫紋肌肉瘤為一種胚胎型橫紋肌肉瘤，最常見於後腹腔區域，本案例中呈現一罕見橫紋肌肉瘤發生位置，針對鼻唇區之腫瘤鑑別診斷以及橫紋肌肉瘤現行的治療方針做了詳細的討論。病人在接受經上唇下方路徑手術切除後，目前於本院小兒血液腫瘤科規則追蹤、接受後續放射治療及化學治療中。
