Endoscopic Management of Verruca Vulgaris in the External Ear Canal-Case Report
經耳道內視鏡手術治療外耳道尋常疣－病例報告
摘要
Verruca vulgaris in the external auditory canal (EAC) is a relatively rare condition, and studies about such condition are limited. Moreover, its clinical manifestations may mimic those of cholesteatoma, when concomitant bony destruction and eardrum perforation are observed. We performed en bloc resection of the whole region affected by verruca vulgaris via transcanal endoscopic ear surgery (TEES). No evidence of recurrence was observed 12 months postoperatively. Clinicians should recognize such uncommon disease to optimize prompt diagnosis and treatment. TEES can be considered an alternative treatment for managing a selected group of patients.

外耳道的尋常疣是一種相對罕見並且文獻紀載相當少的疾病。一旦臨床表現出現外耳道壁的骨性破壞及鼓膜穿孔破損時，就與外耳道膽脂瘤相當相似而無法鑑别診斷。文中病患經由經耳道內視鏡手術方式將外耳道尋常疣完全移除，併追蹤1年無復發跡象且復原良好。做為臨床耳鼻喉科醫師應該認識這罕見疾病，並且快速地鑑别診斷以及給予正確的處置。因此，在此特定族群的病患中，適當的使用經耳道内視鏡手術方式是可以作為治療的選項之一。
