手術適應症與術前準備
Surgical Indications and Preoperative Preparation
摘要
隨著器械與手術技巧的進步，內視鏡鼻竇手術的運用範圍雖已不再局限於鼻腔及鼻竇的發炎性疾病，但臨床上最常運用內視鏡鼻竇手術的地方，還是在於藥物治療無效之慢性鼻及鼻竇炎的病人身上。然而何時是手術介入的最佳時機，目前仍未有定論，眾說紛紜。本文將簡單扼要條列出內視鏡鼻竇手術之相關適應症與術前準備工作，期待能增加內視鏡鼻竇手術的運用與成功率。

Following technological advances and availability of sophisticated instruments and acquisition of better surgical skills, the application of endoscopic sinus surgery has extended beyond the realm of sinus cavities. However, endoscopic sinus surgery is primarily indicated for chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) that is refractory to medical treatment. The timing of endoscopic sinus surgery for management of CRS is controversial because the pathophysiology of CRS remains unclear. In this article, we briefly review the surgical indications and preoperative preparation in this patient population to provide deeper insight into strategies to improve surgical outcomes.
