1. This report is based on the results observed in 85 cases of eye tumors in the past 10 years in National Taiwan University Hospital. Among these cases, male is more common than female. Fifty eight cases are malignancies. Most cases are retinoblastoma which occurs in children of 1 to 2 years, while carcinoma commonly affects the people after middle ago. 2. There is no difference in incidence between left and right eye, although retinoblastoma has the tendency for bilateral which contributes about 20 per cent of all cases, And malignant melanoma usually unilateral. 3. Initial diagnosis is almost accurate except a few unexpected cases. 4. Several kinds of method with great diagnostic importance we used are discussed. 5. Roentgenological examination is of great importance in the diagonsis of malignant eye tumors. 6. Also we know that orbital tumors bear close relationship with tumors of nasopharynx and the surrounding sinuses. 7. Surgical treatment alone or combines with deep x-ray therapy was most often used. Deep x-ray therapy only was used in a few instances. Of the 19 malignancies we were able to follow up from one to nine years, those treated with surgery and deep x-ray therapy have a lower mortality rate and also a longer survival rate.
