On 151 Chinese detailed color vision examation was carried out and analysed. One hundred and twenty-five persons were male and twenty were female. Color vision examination includes examination by isochromatic plates of i) Ishihara ii) Tokyo Medical College iii) A.O. H.R.R. and newest model of Nagel's Type Ⅰ Anomaloscope (Schmidt & Haensch Berlin). Fifty persons were normal. Rayleigh equation was accepted at the scale position of 44.5/13.5. (44.5 is the scale of left knob for color mixture, while 13.5 is the scale of right knob of yellow color) The range of acceptance of an equation does not exceed three scale units except one who showed 3.4. No difference was noted between the male and female in the position of the left knob to match. The Rayleigh equation of abnormal trichromat and dichromat is illustated in Figure Ⅱ. Fourteen protanopia, twenty-nine deutanopia, three extreme protanomalia, seventeen extreme deutanomalia, nine protatnomalia and twenty-nine deutanomalia were examined. Left knob scale was around 50 or more in protanomalia and around twenty in deutanomahia. Anomal quotient for the former is 0.22~3.0 for protanomalia, 2.67~6.0 for deutanomalia. The testee was diagnosed as extreme protanomalia or extreme deutanomalia if he finally accepts an equation at the extreme posion of 73 or 0 position of the color mixture scale after fatiguing procedure.
