Four Cases of Coats' Disease

Fours cases of coats' disease were presented in this paper; The fundus examination is an important tool in diagnosis. All are unilateral and under 13 year-old in age. except the case 2, who is 42 year-old; The incidence is equal in the two sexes, but this is not statistically significant, because there is only 4 cases in this report. The coats' disease is a rare case, characterized by the massive white or yellow exudation in the retina with or without hemorrhage and vascular change; However, the etiology us not clear. The course of the disease is usually slowly progressive but the prognosis is poor, can be complicated by glaucoma. Since cure of disease has not been achieved as yet, current method of treatment is only conservative and make effort in eliminating it's complication.
