摘要
Irvine報告白內障手術後引起囊腫樣黃斑部浮腫以來，由於細隙燈接觸鏡檢查及螢光眼底血管攝影之發展，發現其他疾病也可以引起，病因是中心凹周圍及視神經乳頭周圍的網膜內毛細管漏出漿液性的滲出物引起的。 網膜及玻璃體的瀰漫性炎症或眼球內因性疾病直接影響毛細管或靜脈阻塞，改變毛細管的滲透性，引起囊腫等徵象。

Four eyes of three patients with cystoid macular edema were demonstrated by fluorescein fundus angiography. Follow up examination ranged from two months to six months. All patients remained symptomatic and resisted to corticosteroid therapy during observation. Unilateral cystoid macular edema associated with papilledema, vitreous cells infiltration in one case, papilledema without vitreous cloudy in another one case. Bilateral cystoid macular edema developed in a young woman without papiledema or vitreous cloudy. She had been taking oral contraceptives for many years. Cystoid macular edema is a nonspecific change associated with a variety of intraocular inflammation, retinal vascular diseases as well as following ocular surgery.
