眼球癆內骨化之一例
A Case Ossification in Phthisis Bulbi
摘要
本篇報告一位未婚女性，在嬰兒期三個月時，右眼因受傷而形成眼球癆。其角膜萎縮呈突出。為了適合裝戴義眼，而做眼球內物剜除術。在手術當中，發現眼球內有骨狀碎片，並經病理證實。

This paper presents a case of ossification in phthisis bulbi in an unmarried, young lady who had right eye blindness with shrinkage of the eyeball for 25 years. It was induced by injury of the right eye at three months of age. On examination the right eye was sunken in appearance. The eyeball showed atrophy and shrinkage. The corneoscleral envelope was irregularly thickened. The cornea was opaque and showed a mushroom, stalklike protrusion. The iris, lens and eye-ground were invisible. The patient was admitted for cosmetic operation on April 4, 1974. During the, operation some fibrous tissue, disorganized substance and two hard, angular bone-like fragments were removed and sent for pathological examination. Ossification in phthisis bulbi was confirmed. An artificial eye was successfully fitted on May 2nd, 1974.
