摘要
本文為馬偕醫院自民國71年9月至71年11月間，以一千名在院內出生的成熱新生兒，於出生後24小時內接受眼底檢查。統計發現新生兒網膜出血與產婦年齡、產婦胎次及新生兒的體重無關。但產婦分娩方式却是引起新生兒網膜出血的一重要因素。（特別見於使用產鉗或真空吸引方式分娩者）。觀察所得受檢者網膜出血發生率為29.7%。

1000 newborns were examined ophthalmologically within 24 hours after birth in M.M.H. from Sept., 1982 to Nov., 1982. The incidence of retinal hemorrhage in newborn was 29.7%. Types of delivery (especially vacuum extraction and forcep delivery) played an important role in causing retinal hemorrhage. There is no correlation between the retinal hemorrhage, body weight of newborn, parity and age of mother.
