軟性隱形眼鏡對綠膿桿菌角膜感染的影响－動物實驗模式
The Effect of Soft Contact Lens to Pseudomonas Corneal Infection-An Experimental Model
摘要
配戴軟性隱形眼鏡引起角膜潰瘍的報告不斷增多，而造成角膜潰瘍的細菌感染中，以綠膿桿的感染佔多數。本篇乃利用動物實驗以證明兩者之關係，方法用10隻兔子，兩眼皆刮成2毫米大小之角膜上皮缺損，一眼戴78%高含水量之軟性隱形眼鏡，一眼不戴隱形眼鏡，兩眼各滴入一滴含綠膿桿菌之懸浮浪，觀察三天後，戴隱形眼鏡之角膜皆發生感染，而不戴隱形眼鏡之角膜則沒有發生感染。結果證明戴用高含水量鏡片確能增加角膜成染Pseudomonas之機會。

Coneal abrasion and bacterial keratitis is a major complication of soft contact lens wearing, and half of bacterial infection of corneal ulcer is caused by pseudomonas sp. This report uses 10 rabbits with 2 mm corneal abrasion in both eyes and fitted them c soft contact lens (78% 1120 content) to the right eye. One drop of McFarland No. 3 pseudomonas suspension to both eyes and observe for corneal infection for 3 days. The result was positive for corneal infection of 10 rabbits with soft contact lens wearing and this has proved that the corneal abrasion, contact lens wear and adhesion of pseudomonas on the contact lens surface or stasis of pseudomonas under the contact lens may facilitate the development of pseudomonas corneal infection.
