Reporting cases of contact-lens-related infectious keratitis have been increasing recently. Several reports suggested that organism associated with ulcerative keratitis are modified by contact lens use. In the present study we performed bacterial and fungal culture from conjunctival sac of 61 eyes of soft contact lens wearer and 64 eyes without wearing contact lens. The result indicated that positive culture rate was significantly increased in contact lens wearer. Gram nigative bacteria was found 80% in positive bacterial culture. Pseudomonas was the most frequently culture organism. The patient self-hygiene, contact lens cleaning methods, external eye disease, the pollination of storage and cleaning solution might be influenced the result.
