大專學生配戴隱形眼鏡之現況

摘要

本篇調查490位台大醫學院學生，1809位實踐家專學生卡535位中國海專學生之隱形眼鏡配戴情況，發現女生約有三分之一、男生約13%配戴隱形眼鏡，其中以每日配戴型軟式隱形眼鏡占75%。經眼科醫師處方者，台大醫學生57%、實踐家專33%、中國海專30%。配戴隱形眼鏡者70%曾有眼睛不舒服之症狀，46%曾至眼科醫師處診查。配戴動機男女生皆以運動方便、戴眼鏡不舒服和為求美觀為三大原因。於眼鏡行配戴之主要動機為圖方便(66%)，有信心(10%)和圖較便宜者(5%)只占少數。軟性隱形眼鏡之沖洗，使用生理食鹽水和特殊清洗液者各占45%，其後之保存則主要使用特殊保存液(82%)，中國海專有27%單只用生理食鹽水保存。

A survey about the present status of contact lens wearing was undertaken on 2834 college students, including college of medicine of National Taiwan University, Shih-Chien college and China junior college of marine technology. Among them, there were 800 students (13% of the male students and 33% of the female students) wearing contact lens. 75% of the contact lens were the daily-wearing type.
The percentage of contact lens prescripted by ophthalmologists was 57% in college of medicine of National Taiwan University, 33% in Shih-Chien college and 30% in China junior college of marine technology. The rest obtained their prescriptions from optical shops. The major motivation of contact lens prescription by the optical shops was usually for convenience's sake. About 70% of the contact lens wearers had
had problems of eye discomfort. 46% of contact lens wearers had ever gone to ophthalmologists for routine examination, eye discomfort or emergency. The motivation of contact lens wearing in order was (1) convenience of exercise or work, (2) glasses wearing was inconvenient and uncomfortable, (3) cosmetic reasons. Half of the contact lens wearers used special cleaning and soaking solution and the other half used normal saline for cleaning. 82% of contact lens wearers used special storage solution but 27% of China junior college of marine technology students used normal saline only for storage.
