Long Term Results of Pars Plana Vitrectomy for Complications of Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy

摘要

本篇評估睫狀體坦部玻璃體切除術對增殖性糖尿病視網膜病變合併症之長期療效。從民國70年1月到72年12月間，總共有45眼（42病人）經過成功的坦部玻璃體切除後，視力在六個月內達1/60或以上，並保持玻璃體腔清晰及無視網膜剝離。此45眼經過平均28.4個月之追踪檢查，結果有78%之眼睛仍維持1/60或以上之視力，有4.4%發生虹膜新生血管，8.8%玻璃體再出血，4.4%發生視網膜剝離。我們結論坦部玻璃體切除術對增殖性糖尿病視網膜病變之合併症具有相當穩定的長期療效。

The long term effectiveness and stability of pars plana vitrectomy for complications of proliferative diabetic retinopathy is evaluated. Following successful operations between January 1981 and December 1983, 45 eyes of 42 patients attaining 1/60 or better vision with clear media and attached retina by the end of 6 months were selected for this investigation. After the follow- up for an average of 28.4 months, 78% of eye remained the vision of 1/60 or better. There were 4.4% of eyes complicated with rubeosis irides, 8.8% of recurrent vitreous hemorrhage and 4.4% retinal detachment. We conclude that pars plana vitrectomy has a considerable stability in anatomical and functional results in the management of diabetic retinopathy complications.
