玻璃體切除術對副禿髮念珠菌眼內炎之治療－病例報告
Vitrectomy in the Treatment of Postoperative Candida Parapsilosis Endophthalmitis-Case Report
摘要
本篇報告一位18歲女性病人因外傷性白內障接受白內障吸除術後併發真菌性眼內炎。培養結果顯示是由副禿髮念珠菌(Candida parapsilosis)所引起。本病例單純以玻璃體切除術治療，而未施以任何抗真菌藥物。手術迄今已逾一年，病人癒後良好，最後追踪視力為0.4。

Candida parapsilosis is a yeast-like fungus and can be cultured from normal human external eyes. It is rare as a cause of endophthalmitis. We present a case of delayed onset and low-grade endophthalmitis which developed in the right eye of an 18 year old female patient one month after she underwent cataract surgery. Candida parapsilosis was cultured from vitreous aspirates. We performed vitrectomy only and didn't give any antifungal agent. The patient has been followed up for more than one year. The outcome was satisfactory and the final VA was 20/50. We emphasize the important role of vitrectomy in the treatment of fungal endophthalmitis.
