細針穿刺生檢在眼內腫瘤診斷上之應用
The Application of Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy in the Diagnosis of Intraocular Tumors
摘要
本文報告五個由眼內細針穿刺生檢獲得細胞學診斷，其後並向病理切片證實其診斷之眼內腫瘤病例。細針穿刺生檢為一種迅速、確實、經濟且相當安全的眼內腫瘤診斷方式，但並非每一病例都需要使用，只有在診斷無法確立或懷疑為轉移性腫瘤而不知其原發病灶所在，或需要確實之組織學診斷才能確立治療方式時使用，方能發揮其最大功效。眼內細針穿刺生檢並非眼科醫師能獨立完成的，而是需要與具有良好訓練及足夠經驗之細胞病理醫師充分配合，才能獲得正確之診斷。

Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) has been used widely in many fields of medicine. But it is seldom used intraocularly. We applied this technique in five eyes of solid intraocular tumors including choroidal metastasis, melanoma and retinoblastoma, with satistying results. Cytologic-histologic correlations were obtained in all cases. FNAB is a rapid, efficient, accurate and relatively safe method for cytodiagnosis. But its routine use is not recommended. Indications must be carefully selected. The importance of cooperation among ophthalmologists, ophthalmic pathologists and cytopathologists cannot be overstressed.
