以燒灼法治療結膜鬆批之評估
Effect of Cauterization in the Treatment of Conjunctivochalasis
摘要
結膜鬆弛(Conjunctivochalasis)是眼球部結膜鬆垂在眼球及下眼瞼之間，突出於眼瞼緣或覆蓋在下淚點(punctum)之上。通常是雙眼同時發生。引起溢淚的機轉主要是機械性地阻斷淚液正常流動。治療方法一般是切除贅餘的結膜組織。自民國78年10月至81年5月，2年半時間裏我們針對19位因結膜鬆弛導致溢淚患者使用簡單的燒灼手術方法治療，獲得良好的效果。患者溢淚症狀消除，無任何後遺症，不需縫線，簡單省時。由於結膜鬆弛容易診斷，治療方法簡單有效，但是常常被忽略而誤診，特此提出報告。

Conjunctivochalasis is usually a bilateral condition in which redundant bulbar conjunctival tissue interposes between the globe and the lower eyelid and protrudes over the eyelid margin or covers the lower punctum. It causes tearing by mechanically disrupting the normal flow of the tear, if can be managed by simple excision of the redundant tissue. During the 31 month period from October 1989 through May 1992. 19 patients have undergone cauterization of the redundant bulbar conjunctival tissue with bipolar coagulator and all have done well. Postoperatively, none of the patients complained of epiphora, nor did they have to wipe their eyes as they did preoperatively. There have been no undesirable adverse effects or complications, in conclusion, cauterization of the redundant tissue is the simple and effective operation for conjunctivochalasis.
