目的:為了解台灣學生隱形眼鏡配戴情況近十年來之變化,我們針對台北市專科及大學生作問卷調查。 方法:我們於1991年選取台大新生4000名及2001年選取育達商職學生500名作隱形眼鏡之問卷調查。問卷內容包括:所戴隱形眼鏡之型式、處方來源、配戴行為及鏡片保養方式、定期追蹤與否等。 結果:在1991年所配戴之隱形眼鏡以每日配戴型軟性隱形眼鏡為最多,長戴型軟性隱形眼鏡次之。在2001年則以長戴型軟性隱形眼鏡為最多,拋棄式軟性隱形眼鏡次之。在1991年有近六成,2001年近九成的學生直接在眼鏡行驗光購買,大部份原因是較方便。大部份學生均覺得所戴之隱形眼鏡還可以,只有不到一成不滿意。無論1991年或2001年有近三成的學生仍以生理食鹽水為其保存消毒液。有一半以上的學生會定期使用酵素片。有將近一半以上的學生會使用眼用潤滑劑。七成左右的學生配戴隱形眼鏡後,不曾至眼科醫師就診,大部份就診原因為眼睛不適,其次才是定期追蹤檢查。 結論:相當多配戴隱形眼鏡學生對隱形眼鏡之保養和可能產生之併發症了解不夠,所以眼科醫師應更確實指導正確的使用及保養方法,並建議定期的追蹤檢查。
Purpose: To understand the changing trends of contact lens wearing in 10 years in Taiwan college students, a questionnaire survey was performed in1991 and 2001. Methods: Four thousand freshmen of Taiwan University in 1991 and five hundred Yu-Da college students in 2001 were selected. They were asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire focusing on the type of lens and lens care-especially the use of contact lens cleaners, methods of disinfections, enzyme treatments, use of rewetting drops, and the frequency of follow up exams. Results: Daily wear soft contact lens was most popular in 1991, and extending wear soft contact lens was second. In 2001, extended wear soft contact lens is most popular and disposable soft contact lens is second. About 60% in 1991 and 90% in 2001 bought their contact lenses directly from the optical store; the main reason is convenient. Most students enjoyed their contact lenses with less than 10 % unsatisfied. A sizable portion of students used saline solutions as their primary mode of lens care storage solution and disinfection. Around half of the students used enzyme cleaners. More than 50 % students used rewetting drop. Seventy percent of the students never consulted their eye doctor after wearing contact lenses. Conclusions: A lots of contact lens wearers do not strictly adhere to recommended contact lens care, and many have an insufficient understanding of contact lens care guidelines. Therefore, it is important that ophthalmologists place more emphasis on patient education at the faire of initial contact lens fitting and reinforce them to follow up regularly.
