本文針對營造學社-梁思成建築史論述之知識建構提出認識論的分析。作者先敘述其作爲特定社會與歷史脈絡下,民族主義精英知識分子建構的建築論述之形成過程與歷史寫作風格。然後,分別由(一)、生物學類比的歷史哲學結合了士大夫改良主義思想,(二)環境影響說的機械唯物論簡化了社會歷史現實,(三)結構理性主義之道德規範做爲整個論述體系操作之隱藏規則,(四)、現代史學文獻調查及形式主義美學所支配的建築史論述等四個層次,闡明營造學社-梁思成建築史論述構造的理論邏輯。這些理論邏輯曾經歷史地建構爲一種具支配性語言系統,成爲一種隱藏的理論論述,左右了建築史論述的問題提出方式。因此,它也是組織概念的架構,成爲一種感覺、思惟與評價方式的霸權,是歷史寫作中看不見卻存在與作用的要素。最後,提出理論上回顧與診斷,認爲這並非否定與評價營造學社與梁思成的歷史作用,而是專業重建與理論建構過程的必需部分。由此,批判歷史方得以挑戰我們自身,貢獻於空間的實踐。
This essay is an epistemological analysis of Ssu-ch'eng Liang (S. C. Liang), Ying-Tsao Hsieh-She (YTHS, The Society for Research in Chinese Architecture) and their idea of ”Chinese Architectural History” as a discourse formation. First, the evolution of the specific approach of architectual history and is an architectural discourse constructed by the nationalist intellectural elite. Then, the author elaborates upon the theorectical logic of architectural discourse in four aspects: 1. biological analogy, 2. environmental explantation, 3. structural rationalism, 4. scientific survey of modern historiogragy and formalistic aesthetics. Finally, to conclude this review, theoretical intervention is not a negation of the historial effect of S.C. Liang and YTHS, but a necessary element of theoretical building and professional reconstrction. Therefore, the critical history can contribute to critical architectural discourse and spatial praxis.
