The purpose of this article is to study the dynamic characteristics of the axial compressor rotating blade in avoiding the resonance phenomena during the operating condition. In mathcmatical model, the continuous approach based on the energy method is performed in the derivation of the dynamic governing equations of motion. The rotating blade is modeled as a pre-twisted, double tapered beam in thickness and width t certain stagger angle mounted on the disk. The Euler beam assumption is considered and neglected the torsional and shear effects. In numerical simulation, the comparison results are made between a set of beam parameter and a rcal blade geometry. According to the results, one knows that only the low vibration mode can be predicted due to the simplicity of the mathematical model. Further consideration of torsional vibration vibration, and shear effect is necessary in order to realize dynamic behavior of the higher vibration modes.
