壓力式渦漩霧化器噴霧錐角控制之研究

Study on the Control of Spray Angles in a Pressure Atomizer

摘要


本文以實驗的方法探討壓力式霧化器不同出口角之設計對噴霧錐角及其霧化特性之影響,實驗中所使用的霧化器的出口孔徑皆是0.30 mm,而噴嘴出口角則分別爲0°、60°、75°、90°與105°,操作壓力爲1atm~7atm。研究結果顯示,在較低噴射壓力下,75°與90°出口角霧化器皆可獲得良好的霧化效果,其噴霧錐角可遠的65°至95°範園。在同樣的壓力下,0°、60°與105°出口角霧化器之霧化不良,而且其噴霧錐角皆小於40°。故知在相同壓力下,霧化器出口角之設計明顯地影響噴霧之特性,此爲傳統霧化器設計著重在內部幾何參數的設計所未發現者。當噴射壓力提升時,五種霧化器的霧化特性皆隨壓力的增加而改善,但75°與90°導角霧化器的噴霧錐角仍然遠大於0°、60°與105°角設計的霧化器。經由實際的噴霧分佈量測結果顯示,在P=6atm時,90°霧化器的噴霧錐角高達78°,而105°霧化器的噴霧錐角與0°霧化器的噴霧錐角均相當小,只達22°,代表不是霧化器出口角愈大噴霧錐角愈大,這是設計者必須注意的課題。實驗結果亦顯示,這五種霧化器所產生之噴霧,以90°霧化器的SMD爲最小,顯示其霧化機構最佳。故知設計者可以掌握霧化器出口擴張角的設計,使得噴霧有效展開而得到所需之噴霧特性。

This paper studies the effects of orifice angle on the spray performance. The orifice diameter of the nozzle is 0.3 mm but the orifice outlet angles are designed as 0°, 60°, 75°, 90° and 105° for comparison. The operation pressures are 1 atm~7 atm. The sprays are measured by Malvern Particle Sizer and Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer. Results show that the atomizers with 75° and 90° orifice angles produce fine quality of sprays and their spray cone angles are 65° and 95°under low pressure (p=3 atm). Better performance of all atomizers is obtained when the pressure is further increased. However, the spray characteristics of the atomizers with 75° and 90° orifice angles is still better than those with 0° and 105° orifice angles Measurements under P=6 atm shows that the spray cone angle increases from 22° for 0° atomizer to 78° for 90° atomizer and then back to 22° again for l05° atomizers. Hence the designer should note that the spray cone angle is not a simple function of the orifice angle. Results also show that SMD of the 90° atomizer is the smallest among the five cases. It is concluded that the design of the orifice angle has strong influence on the atomizing processes. The designer may obtain the desired spray performance by properly controlling the design point of the orifice angle.
