摘要
孔孟以降的儒家思想，認為最理想的統治方式是「道德統治」，而其思想原點源自孔、孟的「內聖外王」觀念，此一觀念對於中國政治思想的影響至深且鉅；即使是今日「民主中國」在追求「法治化」的過程中，政治領導者所展現的此種傳統思考傾向，仍然有明顯的脈線而尋，本文重點即在探討傳統儒家德治思想的理論架構，及其疑難之處，並思索其對於現代民主政治發展的影響。
