本研究為「不同學制應屆畢業護生的人格特質、對護理形象的看法與護理能力之比較研究」之第三部份,目的主在探討應屆畢業護生之護理能力及比較不同學制護生在此能力上之异同,并進而探討影響此能力之因素。 本研究以「護理能力量表」(經專家效度處理,且整份量表Cronbach's a系數為961)針對735位應屆畢業護生(高職358名、五專214名、三專61名、大學102名)以不記名、自願性、集體填表的方式收集資料,資料收集後經電腦統計處理,所得結果如下: 不論各單項、分類或整體護理能力之得分均以大學護生最高,三專次之,五專再次之,高職護生最低。經多變項變异數分析發現:不同學制應屆畢業護生在護理能力的得分上有顯著的差异存在;其中「計劃/評值」、「教學/協調」、「人際關系/溝通」、「專業發展」等四類能力之得分會因學制而有顯著的差异存在,但「臨危病人照顧」與「領導」二類能力則并不會因學制不同而有不同。 可能影響護生護理能力之因素有:(含機構素一醫院是否能提供一好的學習環境;教師因素一教學臨床配合程度、能否提供一好的學習環境;家庭社經狀況)、護生之人格特質、以及其對護理特性之重要性看法。 最後,就研究結果提出對護理教育、護理行政與護理研究方面之建議。
The purpose of this study was to describe and compare the differences in nursing competences among nursing students from four types of nursing programs (including university, three-year college- five-year junior college and vocational school) in Taiwan in 1991 (N 735). The questionnaire, the Scale of Nursing Competence, was adminstered to measure nursing students’ nursing competence. Results showed that most scores for nursing competence were different among the four groups of nursing students. Overall, the highest self-rated score was made by the baccalaureate students, followed by the three-year college students, the five-year junior college students. and the vocational students rated themselves the lowest. Also from the six-dimension competence points, it was found there were significant differences in Planning/Evaluation. Teaching/Collaboration, Interpersonal Relations/Communication and Professional development competence. But no significant differences existed between critical care and leadership. Through multiplestepwise regression analysis of all the variables, findings were that educational program, nursing interest, clinical stress and adjustment, clinical average scorc. socie-economic status, personality, the images of nursing, the congruence between clinical teaching and classroom teaching, and clinical situation all played important roles in developing nursing competences. of nursing students. Finally, the authors recommend these results for nursing education, nursing administration and nursing research.
