製程副產氫氣之發電應用研究

A Study on the Application of Process By-Product Hydrogen in Power Generation

摘要


製程副產氫氣於燃料電池的發電應用持續受到關注,本研究使用製程副產氫氣做為低溫純氫型質子交換膜燃料電池(PEMFC)的進料,利用陽極尾氣連續排放的操作策略,首先進行連續發電運轉,在交流供電(1.253 kW)下三次運轉皆可以達到三天持續發電,平均直流發電效率為31.4~31.7%;當改採用間歇發電運轉(44小時發電/4小時待機),經過十次操作系統皆可以穩定發電,平均直流發電效率為32.7~35.1%。這股氫氣用於低溫純氫型PEMFC發電基本上具備技術可行性,後續可以朝向提純進料氫氣以提高發電效益、改善水管理或改用高溫型燃料電池等方向精進與評估,以提升該發電應用的經濟可行性。

The applications of industrial by-product hydrogen in fuel cells for power generation have attracted extensive attention. This research utilized hydrogen-rich by-product as feedstocks for a power system based on polymer-electrolyte-membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Under the strategy of exhausting anode tail gas, this system can continuously generate AC power 1.253 kW for 3 days each run with average power efficiencies of 31.4~31.7% (three runs totally). On the other hand, intermittent power generation by this system (44 hrs on/4 hrs stand-by) also worked with average technically feasible. However, in order to improve the practicability of this application, some directions such as feedstock purification, liquid water management, or even using high-temperature fuel cells are worthy of trying.
