摘要

本研究整合地理學和製圖學之觀點，就台灣地名的類型分類，實地選擇－區域，建立地名資料庫作業模式，模擬台灣地區地名查詢系統，並提出地名資料庫統計分析模式。期望藉由數值地圖圖形與屬性資料庫之結合，提高人們實用上之興趣，並對未來數值化製圖方向，提供大眾化、普及化、實用化之觀點。

This study adopted the viewpoints of geography and cartography to do the classification of the toponym of Taiwan. In this research a place was chosen as a sample for the database building and operation. The informational system of Taiwan's districts was simulated and statistical analysis model was created. The combination of the techniques of digital map and toponym in this research suggested the practical use of digital cartography in future.
