Beach nourishment by dredging is using dredging equipment to dredge proper material from source area and transport it by pipeline (hopper) to be deposited on the fore shore or near shore where errosion is taken place. Then naturally shifting to the shore by wave and current. Finally forming or restoring new beach to gain stabilizing and protective effect .That's kind of shore protection method is soft defence measuree without damage the adjacent beach.
