”Perhaps Ⅰ was a born radical,” said Ira M. Finley, since he was being an unemployed laborer in southeastern Oklahoma in 1908, Finley began to take an active participant to many significant economic and social reformations, which successively swept the state during the first four decades of the twentieth century. Although his radicalism, this is the staring point of his career of ploitics, Finley's prominent role in the socialist movements, labor legislation and welfare, and inter-party relations, makes himself a man of consequence in the provincial politics. Ira M. Finley's active and prominent participation in politics spans a period more than seventy years and reflects the prevailing emphasis of successive reform movements throughout the state's history. The subject matter of this study is to approach the ”Share the Land” Movement in Oklahoma, United States, and its antecedents, through the part Ira M. Finley participate with, for Finley was the mogul in that movement and also of Oklahoma.
