Due to the increasing ratio of obesity under the fast food culture, and the obesity relative risk ratio of Southeastern Asians is higher than that of the western countries white men in metabolic syndrome. The study focuses on analyzing the adults' related factors of obesity and the BMI cut point of obesity definition. The result could offer adult over 40yrs old further insight into their health. The study was an experimental cross-section study. All the health examination reports came from Zuoying Armed Forces General Hospital, where we collected 1090 cases for this research. The research method focuses on the relationship among the obesity, gender, age, health behavior, past disease history and other related health examination items. Furthermore, we did the descriptive and deductive statistic analysis of the study. Among 1090 adult over 40yrs old, the ratio of obesity is 21.4%. Factors such as liver function impairment (GPT), anemia, hyperlipidemia, hyperurecemia, hypertension, osteoporosis, teeth brush habitual all achieve the statistic significance with the obesity in Chi-square analysis. Besides, we do the student T-test analysis, factors such as liver function impairment (GOT,GPT), hyperlipidemia (Triglyceride, cholesterol), hyperurecemia, DM and anemia, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, milk drinking habitual also achieve the statistic significance, and the ANOVA analysis to compare the obesity severity with BMD level also achieve the statistic significance. The result of this research implies that the sedentary living style in Taiwan keeps the obesity increasing. Therefore, it's important for adult over 40yrs old to concern about their food and health management in daily life. From the research result, the adequate BMI cut point of obesity definition in adult over 40yrs old should be kept in 23.6, but it need more research samples to confirm in the future.
