樹豆新品種-臺東1號、2號、3號之育成

摘要


樹豆為原住民的傳統作物,在臺東地區主要栽培於達仁、大武、金峰、太麻里、鹿野、延平及海端等山地鄉,被視為一種健康食品。本研究收集23個地方品糸進行選育工作,在田間利用混合選種法(Mass Selection)從中選拔外形相似、產量高及成熟期一致之優良品系,進行2年高級試驗後,選拔出S-1、S-14、S-40、S-76、S-95及TH-1等6個品系,並以臺東縣大武鄉大鳥村農民慣用地方種S-76為對照進行區域試驗,歷經8年努力,選育出具有高產、抗病、顏色豔麗與高抗氧化力等特性的3個樹豆新品種,其中S-1命名為「樹豆-臺東1號」,S-40為「樹豆-臺東2號」及TH-1為「樹豆-臺東3號」。

Pigeon pea is as the traditional indigenous crop of aborigine which is mainly distributed over the Taitung areas of Daren, Dawu, Jinfeng, Taimali, Luye, Yanping, Haiduan and other mountain areas. It is considered as one kind of healthy food. Twenty three local lines were collected for breeding work in this study. The mass selection method was utilized to choose the similar appearance, high yield and maturity consistent high quality lines. The six superior lines, S-1, S-14, S-40, S-76, S-95 and TH-1, were selected out through two years advanced tests. In addition, S-76 - a local variety, was chosen as control variety which been commonly used by the farmers in Daniao Village of Dawu Township in Taitung County, And the three new varieties of pigeon pea with high-yield, disease resistance, bright colors and high antioxidant capacity characteritions, etc were selected out after 8 years of hard work. Breeding line S-1 is named ”Pigeon pea-Taitung No. 1”, S-40 is named ”Pigeon pea-Taitung No. 2” and TH-1 is named ”Pigeon pea-Taitung No. 3”.
