摘要


由於3C產業(電腦、通訊與消費性電子產品)輕薄短小之需求,鎂於電子工業之需求呈穩定性之成長。鎂作為一種結構性材料,它比鋁及工程塑膠有更多優點,鎂之密度較鋁輕 40%,它有極佳之鑄造性及抗震性。與塑膠材料比較,鎂具極佳之防電磁波干擾、較佳之散熱性、可回收性及環境穩定性。這些因素皆使鎂於電子工業產品,如視頻/聲頻設備、筆記型電腦、行動電話、液晶顯示器及可攜帶式設備,為極具吸引力之材料。

The use of magnesium in electronics industry is growing steadily and is enhanced by the continuous requirement of down sizing both in reducing size and the weight of the info-communication electronics equipment. As a structural material, magnesium has numerous advantageous over aluminum and engineering plastics. It is lighter by almost 40% with regard to aluminum. It has better castability and excellent damping capabilities. With regard to plastics, magnesium has excellent shielding (EMI) capabilities, environmental stability, better heat dissipation and recycling abilities. All these factors made the use of magnesium as an attractive material for the design of new lines of video/photo graphic equipment, portable personal computers and notebooks, cellular and satellite mobile phones, personal LCD projectors, portable communication equipment.
