Arteriovenous malformations of the lung are relatively uncommon lesions with a varied clinical presentation. Nearly half of these are associated with Osler-Weber-Rendu disease. Computed tomography angiography is an accurate and non-invasive diagnostic modality. We report the case of a 23-year-old female who had massive hemothorax due to rupture of a simple pulmonary arteriovenous malformation arising from the left lingular lung. The malformation was resected successfully.
