Both include the absorption of the advanced experience of the west, the carrying on of the humanistic spirit of Chinese traditional culture and solving the students' problem ”How to conduct oneself in society”. In Taiwan, the educational activity known by scholars there as general has been developing more thoroughly, compared with the mainland, in the area of practice and makes allowances for initiatives in the area of theory. Education in the mainland makes as its goal the training of innovative talent in accordance with the political and economic needs of socialism modernization. Each system has different characteristics but nevertheless grapples with the same problem of practice. Exploring together and learning from each other may help solve these problems.
