摘要

本研究是筆者整理台灣國民小學躱避球發展史的系列研究之一，筆者曾於體育學報十八輯中以「躱避球傳入台灣國民小學的歷史考源」撰文發表，引起廣泛的討論。然而，自1913年躱避球運動傳入台灣國民小學之後其發展的情形如何？卻無人予以探究。因此，欲究明台灣國民小學躱避球運動發展的全貌，日據時期是躱避球運動的發展是必須先行探究的課題，此爲本研究的動機。本研究的目的在究明日據時代國民小學躱避球運動發展之經緯，本研究使用歷史研究法，蒐集相關的史料，幷以實例加以考察之。研究的範圍爲日據時代國民小學躱避球運動之發展，時間爲1895至1945年為止。
日據時代躱避球運動的傳入是伴隨著「體操敎授要目」的公布而普遍施行於台灣的國民小學。傳入之初，作爲國小體育課的教材，而其遊戲規則簡單，場地、用球、均是就地取材克難的方式進行教學。
1919年自由主義瀰漫全球，使得日本政府進行多項改革措施。1926年日本政府修訂公布「體操教授要目」，在國小體育的課程中大幅增加球類項目，躱避球運動即在此一時代背景下，加上其本身的趣味性備受師生的喜愛而蓬勃發展。自此之後，國小躱避球運動的發展更爲普及，不論在游戲規則、場地設施及用球等方面均較爲完備，成爲國小師生共同喜愛的運動項目之一，其不僅實施於體育課，連課外運動、教學參觀日、運動會均列爲比賽的項目。

Author haved published history study of the transfer of dodge ball into Taiwan's elementary school in 1994. The conclusion of this research are as follows:
1.Dodge ball was transfered to Taiwan in 1913 accompanling ”Subject outline of school and exercise teaching ”published by Janpanese goverment was applied to the schools attended by Japanese children in Taiwan.
2.Japan goverment's policy haved more change after world war Ⅱ.The outline infroce the many sports. Japanese goverment revised the ”Subject outline of school and exercise teaching” in 1926 The outline inforce the many sports. Dodge ball in this backgrand development of elementary school.
