The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of frequency with physical fitness on elementary school higher grade students. The subjects are 400 Tainan Teachers College Lab School higher grade students. Their average height and weight are147.83±0.73 CM and 42.54±9.12 KG. The questionnaire was administered to these students to understand the frequency. They also finished the measurement of physical fitness. The items of physical fitness are standing long jump, sit-up, spinal flexion, 1600m run and skin fold thickness. The major findings from this study were as follows: 1. Including the days of physical education class, approximately 90% students had over3 days of frequency per week. The influence of gender was significant (p<.05). 2. Concerning the whole subjects, there was no significant difference between spinal flexion score and the skin fold thickness measurement for the different frequency groups. There was significant difference on the standing long jump, sit-up and 1600m run item (p<.05).
