老年人運動休閒互動建構的社會意義

目的：以質化研究，從社會互動的觀點探討老年人在運動休閒互動中所建構的社會意義。方法：本研究係以深度訪談及田野觀察蒐集資料，研究對象是來自於新竹地區16個運動休閒地點（4個運動休閒項目）、共27名65歲以上，且固定參與團體性運動休閒活動的老年人。結果：對老年人而言，運動休閒行爲互動的重要社會意義有四項：(1)運動休閒成爲老年人社會化的代理人；(2)以老年人爲主要成員的運動休閒團體，形成特殊的休閒階層化現象；(3)透過運動休閒的參與，老年人試著挑戰一般人對老年人的刻板印象；以及(4)運動休閒之參與被老年人視爲達到「成功老化」的重要途徑。結論：從老年人的主觀休閒參與經驗，本研究爲老年學的研究領域貢獻一些新的發現。最後，建議後續有更多的研究投入老年人休閒議題。

Purpose: From qualitative research approach, this study aimed to explore the social meanings that were created in the recreational sports interaction by elders based in a social interaction viewpoint. Method: In-depth interview and field observation were applied to gather the data for this study. A total of 27 elders who participating recreational sports activities regularly were drawn from 16 leisure fields (4 kinds of recreational sports activities) in Hsinchu area. Results: For the elders, leisure interaction had four important social meanings: (a) recreational sports activities have become the socialization agents for elders, (b) recreational sports groups that formed by elders mostly were found to become a specific leisure stratification, (c) through the participations of recreational sports activities, elders tried to challenge the stereotypes of older people, and (d) participations of recreational sports activities were regarded as a important path to the successful aging. Conclusion: From the elders' subjective leisure experiences, this study offered some contributions to gerontology and suggested there would be more researches to concern the elders' leisure issues.
