Transfer of knowledge in organizing sporting events is viewed as an essential managerial issue in the modern sport world. As a result of life-limited span of the organizing committee in many sport events, how to acquire knowledge related to event management for delivering a quality event is under certain conditions very critical. Thus, this paper aimed to illustrate the concept of transfer of knowledge and mechanism of transfer of knowledge. The resulted demonstrated that transfer of knowledge became an important application of knowledge management in the sport event industry as well as part of the event legacy. The common mechanism related to TOK included outline of minimum requirements for the sport events, workshop/seminar, debriefing session, observer program, technical manual, and final report. Meanwhile, the key to success depended upon the highly involvement of event stakeholders. In addition, this study provided some recommendation for the managerial practice and future study.
