This study explored the state of safety culture in Taiwanese Manufacturing industry, Construction industry, Water, Power and Gas industry, and Transportation, Storage, and Communication industry. Data were collected from 4,877 workers across 544 organizations in four industries. The results showed that the percentage scores of the 14 dimensions of the safety culture are above 70%, except the dimensions of perceived control (61%) and safety tendency (66%). It was evident that the safety culture in Taiwanese industries achieved the acceptable level, but the further enhancement of the strength is needed. In addition, the level of safety culture is the lowest in Construction industry than the other three industries. Understanding the weakness of safety culture in Taiwanese Construction industry is the first step toward conducting intervention system, and is a key aspect of reducing workplace accidents. Finally, we suggested the inspection procedure of safety culture and illustrated how the concept of safety culture can be advocated and put into effect by way of safety practices.
