本研究以資料包絡分析法(Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA),建立多投入與多績效(產出)的總體衡量模式,運用數據之協助,構建國內TFT-LCD產業投入及產出效果的評估模式。本研究主要是採用TFT-LCD產業2000年及2003年之投入產出資料進行分析,分別求解CCR效率及多目標效率;其中CCR模式屬於「自我評估」模式,多目標模式為「全體評估」模式。此外,亦將CCR效率進一步區分為純粹技術效率(BCC效率)與規模效率。並對效率值比較及進行規模報酬分析,最後則對TFT-LCD產業五家公司四年度之經營效率分析與比較,研究結果顯示五家TFT-LCD產業公司(友達、華映、奇美、廣輝及彩晶)四年整體平均效率值依序為廣輝、奇美、友達、華映及彩晶;其中以廣輝績效評估表現良好,其次依序為友達、奇美、華映,最後為彩晶
This study uses the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method to build a model to evaluate the performance of the TFT-LCD Industry in Taiwan, using input and output data for years 2000 and 2003. We will solve for the CCR and Multi-Purpose Efficiencies. The CCR models are of the self-appraisal type, and the Multi-Objective is of the overall-evaluation type. Furthermore, the CCR efficiency is divided into purely technical (BCC) and scale efficiencies. In addition to a comparison of efficiencies and associated discussions, an analysis of the scale-return is offered. Finally, the performances of five firms in the TFT-LCD industry (AU、CPT、CHIMEI、QDI、HANNSTAR), over these four years is analyzed. The result is QDI would be the best management performance, AU would be the second, CHIMEI would be the third, CPT would be the forth, HANNSTAR would be the worst.
