過去研究已證實發展與供應商合作關係之重要性,然而探討關於什麼因素影響系統廠商與供應商間合作關係的研究仍然有限,同時也缺乏以知識整合的角度,探討系統廠商在新產品開發過程對供應商的整合。本研究將探討系統廠商與零組件供應商之間會形成哪些不同型態的供應商關係,哪些影響因素將決定系統廠商與供應商間之關係型態,以及在不同供應商關係型態下,系統廠商與供應商間的知識整合能力會有何不同的表現。本研究採用個案研究方法,以一家全臺灣筆記型電腦廠商為研究對象,探討其與五種不同的零組件供應商之間的關係、關係的決定因素、及對供應商知識的整合能力,並提出以下之命題:新產品開發活動中,當供應商對開發專案投入專屬性資產時、當零組件的供應集中於少數供應商手中時,以及當零組件的模組化程度為低時,系統廠商與供應商將傾向於形成緊密之合作關係。同時,在不同供應商關係下之供應商知識的整合能力將有所不同,當供應商關係越緊密,知識整合能力越強,反之則越弱。
Previous researches have confirmed the importance of developing supplier relationship. However, researches about what factors lead the close customer-supplier relationship are still limited. And there are few studies based on knowledge perspective to explore how customer firm integrate suppliers' knowledge during new product development. Therefore, this research explored what types of relationship are there between system firm and supplier firm, what factors determine the relationship types between system firm and supplier firm, and how the system firm integrates suppliers' knowledge under different types of supplier relationship. Employing case research method, this research studied five cases of component supplier of one Taiwanese notebook firm and concluded research propositions as following: Supplier asset specificity investment, the concentration of component supply, and the low level of component modulization will lead to close supplier relationship. And under different supplier relationship, the supplier knowledge integration capability shows different. When the relationship of system firm and supplier is close, the supplier knowledge integration capability is stronger; otherwise is weaker.
