摘要

泰國軍隊對泰國政治的影響有著長久的歷史淵源，我們要來檢視泰國皇家武裝部隊（Royal Thai Armed Forces, RTARF）能在文人政府決策當中獲得施力點的不同合法來源。我們發現今天泰國軍方擁有的任何權力，都是依據它所建立的組織法典、條文，有效地使其不受文人政府的控制。今日泰國的軍事影響力和參與政治事務的法律基礎來自一系列具體的國內安全和國防法案，其中包括了泰國憲法、刑法、內安法等。而泰國軍隊掌握政治權力的消長，卻也受著許多因素所制約，譬如文人總理的領導風格、軍隊派系的鬥爭、軍隊領導人的意識型態、國際社會的評論、市民社會的回應等。

The influence of the Thai army on Thai politics has a long history. We want to examine the different legal sources that the Royal Thai Armed Forces can obtain from the decision of the Civilian government. We have found that any power possessed by the Thai military today is based on the organizational code and provisions it has established and effectively prevents it from being controlled by the Civilian government. Thailand's military influence and legal basis for political affairs today come from a series of specific domestic security and defense Acts. These include the Thai constitution, criminal law, and internal security law etc. And The Thai army's control of political power has also been constrained by many factors. Such as, the style of leadership of the literary prime minister, the struggle of the military factions, the ideology of military leaders, the comments of the international community, the response of Civil society, and so on.
