The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the perception of the leader’s behavior and the job performance of the employee, and to verify the moderation effect of job involvement. The employee's perception of leadership behavior, in this study, refers to the employee's feelings of authentic behavior and attitude toward the leader, such as "Relational Transparency", "Internalized Moral Perspective", "Balanced Processing", and "Self-Awareness". In the analysis process, questionnaire surveys were used, and questionnaires were issued for the general employees of SMEs in Taiwanese manufacturing industries. In the regression analysis, the empirical results show that employee leadership behavior perception has a significant positive impact on job performance, and job involvement has a significant positive moderation effect. It is recommended that managers improve employees' working environment through authentic behaviors and attitudes. That will promote employees to be more satisfied with their work and be more willing to do their best for the company.
