本報告應用鑽孔抵抗技術(drill resistance technique)測定台灣杉造林木的密度量變曲線(density profile),其鑽孔抵抗值與密度存在線性關係,而在同一年輪內之早晚材境界密度(density boundary of early wood and late wood)與平均最大密度及最小密度值,兩者具有顯著性正相關存在。依據早晚材境界密度值,應該可以建立重要年輪特徵值(ring characteristics)作爲評估材質,此技術發現適用於台灣杉造林木密度量變曲線的測定。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the density profiles of Taiwania plantation wood by a drill resistance technique. The drill resistance technique as applied to Taiwania plantation wood uses a liner relationship between the solid density and the drill resistance values. There is a positive significant relationship between the average Dmax+Dmin density (maximum and minimum densities) and the density boundary of early and late wood in a ring. According to the density boundary of early and late wood, the tree-ring characteristics should be established for estimating some physical properties of the wood. The drill resistance technique was found to be a good measure of the density profile of Taiwania plantation wood.
