Vision and Movement Strategies of Marriage Equality Movement in Taiwan

摘要

這幾年來台灣的婚姻平權運動是極受國內社會與國際社會關注的社會議題之一，從2016年12月10日的世界人權日支持婚姻平權音樂會有25萬人的街頭參與，到2017年5月24日台灣的大法官釋憲第748號的出現，讓台灣成為國際社會口中的「亞洲第一」，也體現了台灣的公民社會活躍程度與對人權的重視。本論文嘗試以台灣自2016-2017的婚姻平權修法運動為例切入，以個人身為運動組織成員的角度觀察出發，以社工的觀點來觀察與分析婚姻平權運動。筆者以身為運動組織者與參與者的田野觀察，輔以自身經驗的反思，希冀透過本文能夠留下第一手的觀察分析，為運動的歷史與組織者的觀點留下紀錄。

In recent years, the marriage equality movement in Taiwan has been a social issue attracting much attention within both the domestic and international society. The marriage equality street concert held on December 10th, the Human Rights Day, in 2016, which attracted 250,000 participants, and the announcement of the Constitutional Interpretation No.748 made by the Taiwanese Grand Justices on May 24th, 2017, have turned Taiwan into ＂Asia's First＂ in the eye of the international society. They have also shown how active the Taiwanese civil society is and the importance it has attached to human rights. This essay analyzes marriage equality movement from 2016 to 2017 in Taiwan with social work perspective, and departing from the angle as an organizer of the movement. Building on the field experiences as a movement organizer and participant, and the reflection on these experiences, I wish to share in this essay my first-hand observations and analysis, and to contribute to the documentation of the movement's history and activists' viewpoints.
