摘要

本稿は、語幹が反復された後に「-しい」が付加された式型をもつ、日本語の反復形容詞について、その音声形態•意味内容と統語機能を論じたものである。まず、第一節の「はじめに」で本稿の目的と大要を紹介した後、第二節「反復形容詞の音声形態」•第三節「反復形容詞の意味内容」•第四節「反復形容詞の統語機能」と順を追って反復形容詞における音声形態•意味内容•統語機能それぞれの特徴と相互の関係を討議し、最後の節「結び」では「痛い•痛ましい•痛々しい」や「憎い•憎らしい•憎たらしい•憎々しい」などの意味や機能をいかに区別すべきかについて、現場における日本語教育での実際応用と考え合わせながら、比較分析を行う。

The present paper aims to discuss Japanese ”reduplicated” adjectives consisting of the adjective ending ”-shi” attached to reduplicated stems, with regard to their phonetic shape, semantic content and syntactic function. The paper consists of five sections. The first section introduces the aim and contents of the paper, followed by three sections dealing, respectively, with the phonetic shape, semantic contest and syntactic function. Finally, the last section illustrates how the related adjectives, such as ”” and ”” can be taught in the actual classroom teaching Japanese.
