非號誌化路口違規駕駛行為影響因素之研究

An Investigation of Factors Influencing Driving Violation Behaviors at Non-signalized Intersections

摘要


駕駛者行經非號誌化路口,常因未能減速慢行或禮讓路權優先方向的車輛先行,而導致交通事故的發生。了解非號誌化路口的違規駕駛行為,有助於研擬改善策略,以降低路口的肇事率。本研究依據道路交通法規中有關非號誌化路口的條文,衡量非號誌化路口的違規項目,並設計駕駛感受問卷及運用攻擊性及刺激尋求量表,抽樣訪問調查218位駕駛者。驗證性因子分析將問項縮減成六個構面。非號誌化路口違規項目分為停等、禮讓及方向性等三個違規傾向構面。衡量駕駛者攻擊傾向的攻擊性量表,產生身體攻擊及忿怒兩個構面。駕駛感受為單一構面,衡量駕駛者行經非號誌化路口,因必須停等或減速而感到不耐煩或浪費時間的程度。結構方程模型的校估結果發現,駕駛者行經非號誌化路口,因停等、減速等動作,容易感到不耐煩與浪費時間者,較會產生違規行為。身體攻擊性強的駕駛者,容易產生不減速、不禮讓的違規行為。年輕與男性駕駛者在非號誌化路口有較高的違規傾向。本文最後提出改善建議,以供相關主管機關參考。

Traffic accidents often occur at non-signalized intersections because drivers are driving too fast or fail to yield right-of-way. Understanding driving violation behaviors at non-signalized intersections enables us to develop strategies to reduce accident rates. This research adopted traffic code associated with violations at non-signalized intersections to measure how often drivers commit driving violations. A non-signalized intersections to measure how often drivers commit driving violations. A questionnaire survey which includes the collection of driving perception, an aggression scale, a sensation-seeking scale together with respondent's background information was conducted with a sample of 218 drivers. Results of confirmatory factor analyses consist of six constructs. Driving violation behaviors at non-signalized intersections include stop, yield and directional dimensions. Aggressive driving behaviors include physical and anger dimensions. Driving perception which measures the propensity to be impatient when driving through a non-signalized intersection is an one dimensional scale. The estimation results of the structural equation models indicate that drivers who feel impatient and wasting time for stopping at non-signalized intersections are more likely to commit driving violations. Drivers with strong physical aggression may lead to violations of failure to stop at stop sign or to yield right-of-way. Young and male drivers also have high tendency to commit driving violations. Finally, suggestions for improving traffic safety at non-signalized intersections are proposed.
